The Giants could use a boost at this position.  Here are veterans who could be upgrades and likely will not be resigned by their current cash-strapped teams

 2.  Jevon Holland, S, Dolphins. Age: 25.    
Jevon Holland is a very athletic safety. He's coming off a down 2024, but had a tremendous 2023 campaign. He's only 25, so he should be able to rebound.

3.  Justin Reid, S, Chiefs. Age: 28.    
Justin Reid is an excellent safety, thriving in both coverage and run support.

9.  Justin Simmons, S, Falcons. Age: 31.   
Justin Simmons was once one of the top safeties in the NFL, but he has shown a sharp regression in coverage ability recently.

13.  Tyrann Mathieu, S, Saints. Age: 33.   
Tyrann Mathieu was a dynamic play-maker for a long time, but he slowed down last year.

18.  Damar Hamlin, S, Bills. Age: 27.  
Damar Hamlin did well last year, particularly in run support. His coverage skills weren't nearly as good

Holland and Reid are the only 2 id consider over resigning Pinnock, the other guys are too old or in Hamlins case the skillset doesn't match the need

I just don't know of Schoen would paynfor a Safety with other big needs on the team

If you follow the Howie Roseman model you draft the high-value positions and pay for the lower-value positions (like safety or running back)

Would love to sign Holland and DJ Reed, would completely transform our secondary which in return would help the dline.

How is Pinnock used?  I happen to like Malachi Moore, the safety out of Alabama.  He's a good deep cover safety with ball skills.  He and Nubin would form a nice back defense against the passing game.  Think he may be a 4th round type draft selection.

Pinnock is considered the Free Safety in Bowens defense I believe.

Ok so more coverage responsibilities.  Moore would be a great replacement then.
