Why can't this guy just remain off our board and some feel the necessity to keep bringing him back, and still trying to prove he has some value-----------------somewhere.

He made most of us miserable for his too long of a tenure here, he is the Vikings or whatever team that wants to ruin their chances to get better, problem.

Enough of Daniel Jones threads.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."
~ Coach Tom Coughlin

Jones explained that the "situation " was more important than starting. Why would he go to a losing team as a starter with the same problems the Giants had? Poor offensive lines, minimal weapons and questionable coaching are not conducive to resurrecting a career. Sam Darnold proved that.

The only Qb that doesn't want to start and wants to be 3rd string? C'mon man, you try to get people to think some wild xxxx about Jones, but to think that he wouldn't have taken a starting job if it was an option is beyond wild. Every qb ever goes to a place where they think they can start, not somewhere that they hope to learn something after a decade + playing football. If the guy could have started for a team, he doesn't turn that down. Only 32 teams and 32 starting qbs and to act like he wouldn't have went somewhere to start instead of going to be 3rd string is wild, because before this season O'Connell has only had Cousins, so it's not like he was seen as some make a wish for broken qbs.

Among the reasons, that Jones might suggest that the "situation" was more important than starting is that, aside from knowing that there is no intention for him to be the Viking starter when the season begins, is that he is perhaps now coming to terms with the reality that it was he who in his 6 seasons with the Giants was a central and pivotal factor in their very disappointing "situations(s)".

I don't recall Darnold blaming anyone for it having taken him 7 years to resurrect his career if indeed it has been- following as it did the bad situation in his last 2 games including a resounding playoff loss. Of course, that's not to suggest that he won't be handsomely rewarded whatever his future may be as was Daniel Jones for his once upon a time sleight of hand season to date.

Cheers!

i'm not convinced he's done. he was certainly done here. but coming off MAJOR injuries and the same crappy NYG teams, he had no chance here. In the right situation, he can hold it down if a starter goes down, or mentor a young guy until he is ready. He will absolutely get a shot somewhere. He's not going to win a super bowl any time soon, but he will stick around for another couple years.

I resent your attitude and response. I am not trying to "sell anyone " on a wild story.". Just because you said the story is false doesn't make you right. That "story" came directly from the Jones' camp. Not every QB in this league thinks like you do. The "situation" is important to a lot of players. There are QBs that don't want to go teams with awful offensive lines, lack of skilled receivers and questionable coaching. Just because you say it isn't true doesn't make it a wild story

You also didn't believe the previous story that 10-12 teams were interested in Jones with several wanting him as a starter. MG presented proof you were wrong.

You might want to start showing respect to other posts and stop acting as if you are the one and only authority on this Board.

Jones camp didn't say anything, if they did you have not shared nothing to back it up. I am a firm believer that if you are going to make wild claims, and claim they are factual, provide the evidence and back it up, otherwise the reaction is to be expected as it comes off as either speculation or made up.

The thing that was posted that you claim makes him wrong, was very much embellished by you to fot the agenda, probably why you didn't want to share the link yourself, so someone else had to on your behalf.

If it's true, just show it. Otherwise it just comes off as reaction seeking.

THIS!
He's not a little boy, he's an NFL player. If he's turning down starting roles so he can "sit on the bench and learn" what does that say about the level of confidence he has in his abilities after all these years?!
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Right now, there are reports that Sam Darnold is going to the Seahawks, and it is a done deal. The reports go further, suggesting that the Vikings might pursue Rodgers if they fail to re-sign Daniel Jones. It would be ironic if the Giants were once again impacted by Daniel Jones's decisions.
