Quote from: kingm56 on November 10, 2024, 10:55:14 AMThis is the second time I've made this statement this year.  If Tommy D was our QB today, we would be winning or at least tied.  DJ has been that bad...again.

I couldn't agree more. He's a competitor and it shows on the tv in real time. Jones is a hard worker who I believe cares deeply but is lacking the "it" factor.

If there is a leader on this team.....he needs to step up and challenge everyone to play better and win a winnable game.
Not sure that will happen ...but it needs to

It's mind boggling that some fans are still blaming the coaching.  Talk about confirmation bias...

How is completely wide open receivers, many of which are fairly short yardage bad calls? Any decent QB can make these and the play is made.

If we had a real QB Daboll would not be getting called out for his playcalling

If the point is that the coach is calling plays that require an NFL QB making $40mm a year to be able to throw the ball to an open guy 25 yards away, then ok I guess.

You can't win calling only screens, checkdowns, 6 yard stick routes, and bubble screen type plays. Are we playing to win, or are we playing to get Jones as many 4 yard completions as possible?

He called a "trick" play to get receivers open but because the QB is horrible, it was a bad call.

Some perspectives i just don't understand at all.

I just called my son at college who I know is watching. He said "I don't know what Germany did to deserve this game".

I hope the fans claiming coaching is the problem are watching the half time show; they're echoing the same things Warner did during the game.

Yeah, if you ever make sense of it, DM me and help me understand.

Jones is miserable but this coach is horrendous.

Hey, don't knock that 65% completion rate! It counts for something!  ::)

Because all you need is 1 yard and have a dynamic RB who has been playing extremely well. What's so hard to understand about running the ball on 3rd and 1 when you have a good RB and a terrible QB?

For all the bitching about DJ, I don't understand why we'd prefer the ball in his hands vs Tracy's.

Yea.... Jones has constantly missed open receivers all season... that flea flicker was just obviously bad

If Jones would throw those balls all season .... Not only would Jones be doing slightly better we would not even be questioning Dabolls playcalling... not one bit

And it worked!  he had 2 guys wide open.  Jones is infuriating to watch sometimes.
