Good thing the Giants got their guy before THAT happened.

Don't think it would have affected Adebo.

Stingley is good, but not sure he is top paid all time good though. Certainly not 5-6M more than those other guys there. But, I guess that is how the NFL operates.

CBs used to be highly paid. Then, for about the past 5 years, their salaries sort of stagnated.  Stingly kickstarted the CB salaries.

I understand, I just don't think he was the one that should have done it. If it was Sauce, then it would make sense. But you can argue those 4 other guys to this right are better, or at worst equal. So I think it's an overpay, stagnant, kickstart, or not.

CBs are closing in on QB salaries. Sauce Gardner is on a 4 year, $33,450,801 contract with the Jets. Can't imagine what his next contract looks like...WOW  :o
The fact that Keith Richards has outlived Richard Simmons, sure makes me question this whole, "healthy eating and exercise" thing

I think Surtain is the top CB in the league, and I think Horn, Stingley, and Terrell are right behind him and near equals. Ramsey and Alexander have peaked and are on the decline.

And I think you're overrating Sauce. He's good, for sure, but he's nowhere near that top group. Stingley is first team All Pro and had more INTs last year than Sauce has in his 3-year career.

Sauce doesn't have as many INTs because he doesnt get thrown to as often, box scores aren't everything.

Sauce has a lower target rate, with much fewer receptions allowed. Sauces targets also do not cover as much distance, and he has less target separation compared to Stingley. Not to mention he has also surrendered fewer TDs compared to Stingley.

Sauce allows a lower passer rating too

The INTs are nice, and he is a very good CB, but I think its the other way around and you are very much underrating Sauce.

I have Surtain at #2 FWIW

According to NextGenStats, the passer rating numbers for their careers are:

Gardner: 76.2
Stingley: 57.1

Also, Sauce has allowed 53% completions when targeted vs. 50% for Stingley. And despite playing in 23% less games, Stingley has 266% more INTs (11-3). The difference in targets/game is less than 1.
