At this point, what else would you like to see the Giants do at QB ?

Which of the remaining below moves would you like to see the Giants make at QB?

Round 3, 4 and 5 QBs are almost always a wasted pick.  For every gem, there's a dozen Davis Webbs, Ryan Nassibs and Kyle Laulettas.  We need too much in other areas to use valuable picks on long shot projects.

'In the modern era of the NFL Draft (since 1967), 130 quarterbacks have been selected in the first round. Only 61 of those (46.9 percent) have won a playoff game as a starter, according to NFL Research, and just 58 of those quarterbacks (44.6 percent) have garnered Pro Bowl honors" NFL.com

It's a gamble no matter where you draft one. Safe to say there's no "Can't Miss" QB in this draft. Which is why I'd rather roll with filling out the rest of the roster this offseason, and draft high for a QB when the percentages are a bit more in our favor.
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Remember Schoen.said no shortcuts at the QB position? Then he pined for Stafford, Rodgers..then Wilson..yikes. Winston is a reasonable pick up..but I'm really worried he will trade up for Ward or settle for Sanders to soothe Mara. BPA at 3 or find a partner..add picks..but this is what happens when you have Dabes and Schoen..Still here and facing termination unless they placate the owner.

I'm with you there...I like Dart the best from the high level of the SEC he faced...but Howard..McCord ..others hmm? Longshots probably. But at 3 I couldn't see taking Dart. Later, yes in the first round. BPA at 3. Team needs the best talent available, not reaching for need at QB.

It'd probably take our 2nd, 3rd, and a 5th to hop back into the 1st high enough to get Dart.

Wow! If you have that much conviction for Dart that you'd forfeit that much draft capital to get him, why not just draft him at pick three or, if the option presents itself, trade pick three and move down the board with additional draft capital and go get him in your new slot?

Two, three and five seems too much to give up to move from 34 to the high teens to get Dart when the team really needs those picks to build out their roster, improve overall talent as well as depth.

If you believe Dart's market rate has appreciated to the point that much capital is needed to get in position to draft him in the lower first round, and the Giants pull it off, we all should hope and pray he puts the franchise QB debate to bed once and for all. The other thing we should hope and pray is, with half of the Giants' picks gone, they find diamonds in the rough the rest of the way because they'll have to be near perfect in order to improve team talent enough to move the needle.

If Dart can be had for maybe two picks, I could meet you halfway at that point unless we know he's the man for the next decade or so. That said, having another Ole Miss QB lead the Giants seems like a good omen, doesn't it?

Peace!

"Dave Jennings was one of the all-time great Giants. He was a valued member of the Giants family for more than 30 years as a player and a broadcaster, and we were thrilled to include him in our Ring of Honor. We will miss him dearly." (John Mara)

Use the third overall pick on a non-QB, and then either draft a QB at 34 or possibly trade up from 34 for Dart. Or make me a "can't refuse" offer for the No.3 overall, and let's Dart the eye and cross some Ts and get it done.

Cheers!

There is a great probability that Arch Manning will not come out next year. He does not need the money and his uncles are telling him to enjoy the college experience .

Although I'm furious he hasn't made a decision and he has drama, what I want is to sign Rodgers (makes the offense fun and watchable). Then trade 1st pick for capital.

Offers us a chance at a decent fun upcoming season and picks to go find a franchise QB next year. It basically gives Schoen/Dabol an extra year or two this way

UNLESS of course the Giants feel Abdul Carter is Micah Parsons type game changer in which case grab him at 3 and trade into 1st round for Dart

I agree, I was just throwing out how much capital it'd likely take so everyone would know.

Would people still be wanting Arch if his last name was not Manning?

I didn't see this on the voting

How about we TRY and trade back, to say, 10, draft Dart there and have as many extra picks as we can get in that trade to help repair some of what needs repairing.
We got the QB we want and extra picks.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I think 10 is too far back to be safe. My perfect scenario is either(or both) of Carter, and Hunter are there. Let the bidding begin for slots 4,5,6, even 7 if the jets want either.
