DE Abdul Carter with the 3rd pick in the draft, and QB Jaxson Dart with the 2nd round pick at 34.

Would you be happy with these results?

Curious your thoughts?

I'll share my thoughts later...

Very doubtful, Dart will be there in round two unless he flunks his pro day.

uconnjack8

I would be very happy with that but think Dart will not be around in the 2nd round.  Doubt very seriously he would make it past the Steelers

Gman329

Agreed.  We'll have to trade up from 34 to get Dart.

sxdxca38

So if this would happen then I would be very happy with the results, but as others have said Dart still being there at pick 34 probably isn't realistic, would require a trade up.

While unlikely to happen in quite that way, 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.

Cheers!

Carter, Dart, and best available OL represent my best case scenario.  I'm perfectly fine with trading multiple picks from this draft to achieve that scenario.  If Dart is there at 20+, trade up to get him. IMO, that's a reasonable gamble for a future QB.

Dart might go in the top ten .maybe the Jets..or Saints at nine. Qbs are get overdrafted..seemingly every year. Last year was a good crop and teams did hit it..except for the Vikings and injury.

Dart has to be a trade down in top ten i would think but with whom? Raiders? Geno there. They need playmakers. Possible.  Jets? No. Jags? Pats? Maybe.. Thats where I think he'll go..early. A lot depends on Sanders..does he fall..do the Giants really want him.? I dunno.

Ild be thrilled

Doubt Dart is there at 34

It's possible Dart is there at 34. Its equally possible he goes top 7

He is the ultimate wildcard

What would surprise more? Sanders at three, or Dart at three? I'm not advocating for either at three, but as you said, "Qbs are get overdrafted..seemingly every year."

Well, tonight I'm reading that the Giants are making another run at Wilson and that Winston was signed to be a backup......so maybe that's a sign they're not enamored with any of the top 3.

Or they figure Ward is going to Tenn, they're not interested in Sanders, 3 is too high for Dart and they can't be sure they'll get him trading up or down.
