I've been in the Graham train this whole time .... But knowing Hunter and Carter are also possible options has me thinking of all the possibilities

A lot of here said that DT is deep in the draft and we may be able to find a staring DT in the second

I am coming to the mindset that maybe we should just make a crazy elite defense where if Wilson and Co. can get us 21 points we have a more than better chance at winning those games

I think if you told me the Giants could get Carter and a run stuffing DT in the second round then I don't see how you don't do that

Focus on offense the rest of the draft ... but just imagine the defense if we got Carter and a starting DT

Secondary is improved and even then the revamped front 7 will make the secondaries life easier

Bowen does not favour traditional block chewing, hole-plugging DT. His defences have always regarded TFL as being as valuable as sacks. He traditionally wants slightly lighter guys who shoot gaps and make tackles in the backfield. Of course everyone wants a Dex who can do it all but Graham fits Bowen's vision nicely.

I think we can see Bowen's fingerprints in a shift in free agent signings with RRH and Ledbetter both better penetrating than they are chewing up blocks and plugging the line of scrimmage.  In this draft Harmon or Nolen R1 or guys like Sanders, Alexander, Robinson day two would continue that reshaping.

Conversely he values rotational Edge guys who can be versatile outside/inside/dropped and set an hard edge/run stuff to help the inside pressure guys. Gholston and Dimukuje fit in theory. Day 2/3 guys who fit that profile better than lighter pure speed rushers include Landon Jackson, Jack Sawyer and Oluwafemi Oladejo (big TfL v sack guy). Josaiah Stewart might be a touch undersized for Bowen's ideal but he is also a tackle for loss monster.

I want us to resist shiny hood ornaments bar QB with our key picks in favour of OL, DL, Edge. Aside from QB our biggest priority IMO needs to be to stop losing both LoS against our physical divisional foes. It is essential to competing consistently.

I agree on the shiny hood ornaments

Although if milroe slips to third round I would not  be against that

But that is why I want Carter and a DT with the first 2 picks .... We saw what a suffocating defense can do to a team like KC

An OG round 3 would be beautiful

Can Carter play with his hand in the dirt ?

Would like to see if Bowen can find ways to have have all burns, dex, Thibs, Carter and Okereke on the field at the same time

Carter has played snaps with his hand in the dirt but he has more track record at ILB. That is probably the path for his versatility in the pros. OLB first, ILB second, DE third.

So I see him as what they tried to make Simmons seem like he would be (joker)

If he can be an  EDGE, MLB and DE ... I can see the defense just being monstrous

Thibs would benefit the most if he's rushing the passer and Carter is the one taking attention away from his side of the field

Sounds good!

Wink Wink Nudge Nudge Know Wadda Mean Know Wadda Mean?

Having added Chaucey Golston in FA might favor Graham at 3 just as the addition of Paulson Adebo might hint at an other than Hunter.

In any case, 3 is not a bad place to be for the D assuming they stay there.

Cheers!
