My guess is he got this info from vets who have played at other teams before and have seen it happen.  Experience lets you know when something is brewing before it is openly obvious.

The first sentence is odd. Why 0-4 instead of 0-5 or 0-3? Seems like a strangely precise number around which to be predicting "losing the locker room."

Quote from: Jclayton92 on Today at 08:31:42 PMWhy would any coach come here seriously? The guy won a playoff game with Daniel Jones, you think the next coach is going to here if we run off a coach of the year in 3 years?

Don't get me wrong I want a new guy but still.
Because they want a paycheck and a chance to prove they can win as a head coach.

Quote from: MightyGiants on Today at 11:56:12 AMI have been researching.  If Barkley increases attendance, the team's revenue will increase via concessions.  I am not 100% sure, but I believe teams also make more money for team merch sold in their stadium stores (which, again, is fan-driven).  Ticket sales are 60/40 for the home team.  NFL teams keep all the suites and sponsor money (Which a marketable name like Barkley will help).

The NFL has marketing deals with merchandising companies, and that money is shared.
How many people do you think are going to games and buying Barkley jerseys?  If they are buying a jersey at the game, they are buying whichever current player they want now.

Was their a spike in suite sales while Barkley was here?  Those suites are sold as long term leases and they are corporate bought.  The corporate sponsorship money was there long before Barkley was on the team and will continue to be there long after all of us and Barkley are gone.

If true, I wouldn't blame them at all.

Some 'new' humor

took my suit to the cleaners, who wanted to charge me $40, so I gave it to the charity shop next door. They cleaned and pressed it and put it in the window. I bought it back for $15.

Someone just gave me half a peace sign. Weird.

My wife and I started role-playing in the bedroom. Her favorite is The Sexy Librarian where I have to sit quietly while she reads a book.

At a wedding reception, someone yelled: "All married people please stand next to the one person that has made your life worth living.

" The bartender was almost crushed to death.

Yesterday I bought a world map, gave my wife a dart, and said, "Throw this and wherever it lands, I will take you on vacation.

" We're spending 3 weeks behind the fridge.

Quote from: LennG on Today at 07:41:31 PMWe traded up for  Hyatt and at #2 can he be classified as a bust?

There is no way a #2 draft pick, even one we traded up for, should be riding the pines. I can see if he just can't 'do it' but when he has gotten a chance he plays well.

Let's call it the way it is and this is on the coaching staff.

I believe Hyatt was a third round pick, #73 overall.  It's not odd a third round pick is seeing limited snaps in their second year.  I believe some fans had high expectations as a byproduct of his first round draft projection.  There's good reasons multiple teams passed on him and he's not starting now.  He needs more time.

I expect him to get into the HOF whether on a first or subsequent ballot although it seems that the former has somehow been made into an even greater honor than the latter. In any case, I suppose it could depend on how much weight voters give to Eli's 2 Super Bowl MVP wins over the GOAT including over a once nearly undefeated Patriots team, as compared to his otherwise mediocre Regular season career. Que sera sera is okay with me.

Cheers!
