I suspect the music video he dropped might be a test to see how viable his music career is.  If it is not well received, perhaps Waller will have a change in heart.

Here's to hoping Johnson is legit because Bellinger isn't it and we need all the weapons we can muster.

Hoping his vocal cords are in better shape than his hamstrings. The Giants need the Cap space.

In year one Bellinger was playing just fine

No matter how talented one is (or once was), if your commitment level is anything less than 100%, you can't be truly additive in this league. If he is openly admitting he is unsure about his commitment level, I don't see how you give this guy a roster spot, whether he ultimately decides to retire or not.

How many targets vs drops. How many high leverage plays. It's not just about stats. Anyone who knows football saw how he played. Go look at the posts about Bellinger when we were winning. If you do, you will realize you were wrong because almost everyone on here back then was saying he is legit. Then we signed Waller, Jones sucked, the line sucked, the play calling sucked, and Bellinger was lost.

Why anyone would want a $17,000,000  a year TE (second highest in NFL) who ranks 79th in receiving yards of all players and 17th for TE's is absolutely beyond me.  113th in the NFL with 2 TD's.  Hurt all the time, with injuries that last longer on him than others and a history of questionable commitment to team and staying on field; to the point he has been called out publicly by his teammates.   Only to spend his off season discussing his questionable commitment to football???  Let's be fair when he was committed last season, he didn't look all in, I can't imagine now that he is publicly not sure how he will look on a field. 

If he doesn't quit, eat the 2.8 mill dead cap and cut him.

The Giants are trying to rebuild a roster and create a winning culture, that doesn't happen with players like Waller.  Bring in ALL in, team first, hard working guys. 

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

It was a good try by Schoen but it didn't work.

Waller took a lot of Belingers field and pass attempts last year

I think we forget how important and effective Bellinger was the prior year


Also Bellinger is a true tight end Waller is a big WR.  No blocking

Spot on the money. So many on here have short memories. Go back and look at what people were saying about Bellinger in year 1 and in the off-season afterwards. Now all of a sudden he is an afterthought.

If you're going to evaluate Bellinger's rookie season, you should consider how effective he was before and then after the eye injury. I don't think he was the same player when he came back and it remains to be seen whether he can get back to being the guy we saw in his first 7 games in the league.
