The only thing worse, Bob, is a repeat of the helter skelter Dave Brown season of 1996 with lame duck head coach Dan Reeves. Sadly, if this season starts turning into that mess again, I'm done watching football from the east coast and I'll wait 'til 1 PM (2 PM after DST ends) for the west coast games.

As bad as it imploded into a dumpster 🔥 in 2021, I just can't handle another 1996-like season and will shut it down for good.

It's not like Tommy "Chicken Cutlets" is the second coming of Danny Kanell anyway, right? At least Kanell won a game in '96 and a division crown in '97.

When coaches put the blame on themselves that means a strategy change is usually in order. And it means they are reading and properly reacting to the players body language and or feelings about the gameplan or playcalling.  I really hope that is the case here.

 Mayfield, Darnold, Tua even Goff are getting better utilized under offensive systems that focus on what the players do best limited ceiling or not.

PPS.  There are a couple of "starts with me" remarks and eventually after about 2 or 3 minutes there's a "I've gotta do a better job... and I will" etc. and then a "that falls on me" followed by a "I gotta go out and perform..." etc.  Also said his play-calling "wasn't good enough."

Wow I love when a coach takes it upon himself to shoulder some of the load instead of just pointing fingers. Thank you Brian. Gives me a bit of hope here.
