All can say is they look like an actual well coached NFL offensive line!

We haven't seen this kind of cohesive OL blocking since the days of ol' Flaherty.

The precision and cohesiveness that they are executing their blocks has been marvelous.

Now as I've re-watched both games with a focus on the OL Van Roten is by far the weakest link out there.

Let me tell you something I don't know if they are going to 'Erick Flower' Neal but if they learn their lesson quick there and put him at OG he would be an absolute MONSTER.

Neals issues almost always stem from the greater lateral movement and recognition required to block on an island at Tackle in the NFL. When he is straight ahead blocking or only needs a little bit of lateral movement more often than not I have seen flash dominance in those types of reps.

This is not necessarily to say Brillo can't fix him at RT. It's possible, but to may with the way JE is playing there and the risk factor, I'd rather see him at RG where I think he is almost a sure fire stud.

This is a line that not just stalemate blocks but will MOVE people. We saw what a Bricillo line is capable of this game.

I like the idea of Neal moving inside.  Hope he is taking reps there this season to get him ready.  Doubt it, but you never know.

The Giants have faced two of the NFLs worst defenses in the first two weeks.  Let's see if this notion continues over the next 2 weeks against Cleveland and Dal. The oline is indeed better, as they have better players.  Still, the Right side is well below average and I anticipate they'll have issues against better competition. 

I am encouraged by JMS; we thought he needed a year to get bigger/stronger.  I hope he continues to improve and anchor the middle of the OL. And Thomas is just a stud.  I hate we're wasting his prime.  If JMS stabilizes, the Giants are a RT away from a good OL.  Assuming they can find a RT and get their QB next year, we could seriously be on the road to recovery.

But to classify him as a "monster" at a position he's never played in the NFL when his performance thus far has been horrendous is quite the leap.

I believe he would be because the stuff he does really well matches up well with the position. Could be wrong though this stuff isn't an exact science, but it's how I see him yeah.

I'm afraid they may try him still at RT as GMs often want to prove themselves right. Remember Flowers?

I really hope they move him to RG. While Eleumenor has been pretty good at RT , Van Roten has been the weakest link by far on the line.

Not saying it would be a guaranteed failure but moving Jermaine to RG and then having Neal play the tougher RT position, so much riskier.

Agree about Neal.  If it's a medium to long lateral move, he arrives two days later.  Try shrinking his lateral movement and see how he does more straight on.  No way it can hurt.

I remember the line starting to play better toward the middle of Joe Judge's first season just before they fired Marc Colombo.

The Vikings shut down the 49ers and actually have one of the best defenses in the league. 

Hope you're right about JMS. He was ranked dead last in PFF among starting Centers last year - especially in the pass blocking grades. It will be interesting to see if he's improved this year once he returns.

Absolutely...he should be given an extension now. What a difference...best sign of this dreadful start.

They should try Neal at Guard, but I would slide him to the left side. Neal at LG

Brown normally a team wants the mauler on the right side and the better pass pro guys on the left. I think Neal at RG next to Eluemenor could be really special.

Neal isn't a mauler, for his size he's not a killer. He's top heavy and slow to the punch. I don't see it. But why not try. Unless he can be magically transformed into a good Tackle, he's been beaten out by a journeyman. They also will never mess with Andrew Thomas and switch sides. He needs a guru or a muse. And a bubble butt.

Neil was pretty good at left tackle while in Alabama my way of thinking is body mechanics wise. Put them at left guard since he was successful at left tackle on the left side to give him every chance he can be successful. I think left guard would Give him the best chance. I would do anything I could put them anywhere on the line so that he doesn't turn out to be a bust. We draft them so high in the first round it would be a shame.
