Like third and goal on last drive was. Clearly designed to go to Robinson using Nabors as decoy....not Jones fault. Just a bad play call

It's not Daboll or Jones. It's both. They are both bad at their jobs as is the guy who hired them.

WanDale has a LONG way to go to be considered "A Pro"

He has to be 80% catch the ball before the marker instead of running PAST the marker

I am referring to red zone stuff

Well, Fizpatrick just stated Daboll called a great game but the Giant (DJ) are risk adverse.  I'll have to watch the All-22 to see if his comments are BS or not.

I think so.  This is about as good of a game as you're going to be able to get out of Jones.  That's good coaching to me.  Slayton with 2 huge drops, Wandale with another.  Jones not being able to throw a deep ball.  The players didn't always execute but the game plan seemed solid to me.

We SAW exactly what Hyatt was last year. Separation all over. Now he is not even getting a chance and Slayton drops everything in sight but people criticize me for wanting to go to the kid TE who dropped 2 as a rookie. Yet it's ok to keep going to the king of drops Slayton

Agreed, GMO.  The plays were there, we simply didn't make them, again.  The missed deep throw pissed me off as that was two weeks in a row.  Those are throws a plus NFL QB has to make.

Is anyone else starting to get some "fake tough guy" vibes from Daboll? Playcalling wise, I mean.

In 2022 he had no problem going for it and trying to win games, as long as Kafka was still (theoretically) calling the plays and would take all the blame if they didn't work.

But now that Daboll is officially calling the plays again and everyone knows it, he can't bring himself to take a single chance in the red zone.

I don't think that's even the biggest reason we lost this game. Just something that crossed my mind.

I would agree except for 3 things:

1. Waited u til 4th quarter to use TE (and it was successful)
2. Lack of screen passes (same as last week in 2nd half)
3. 2nd and long running plays AT HOME

DJs arm has diminished over time. No Zip and he lost his deep pass. So if he's not perfectly set up the ball wanders. He's Underthrown at least a half doesn't passes this year probably more Where receivers were open or could've made a catch. you don't see Jalin Hyatt because he could never hit him in stride. statistically he had a great game, but this was a winnable game and it's not just on him. There were several drop passes too, and his protection broke down and they couldn't run the ball because they got manhandled at the line. Although Barkley Surely would've helped.

The one thing he's good at is the one thing that Jones is 100% incapable of doing. Who cares is he gets separation deep if Jones under throws it. Slayton was open deep as was Nabers. Boy blunder short armed it. What exactly can Hyatt do that either one of this guys can't.

I completely agree, Ed. We had too many drops too.  Way too many.
