I'm sure fans were saying the same thing about the 5-12 Commanders last year, the 3-13-1 Texans in 2022, and 2-14 Bengals in 2019.  If you get the right QB, you can turn things around quickly.  You can even apply this logic to the Bears and ATL; they're competitive teams this year. The Broncos also appear to be trending upwards, thanks to selecting the right QB.  The Giants have equal talent to all those teams, they're just missing the most important position in team sports.

Painfully obvious that Jones is the biggest problem and the main problem! Not sure how the Giants can get the right QB, with those that will be available in the draft don't seem to be very good.

Here's the question a little differently.  Where are they headed?  The positive signs or signs of improvement always seem to be short lived.  Nobody expected a Super Bowl this year obviously or the playoffs quite frankly.  What you need to show your fan base though is some signs of hope.  Some signs that there's atleast a plan beyond going through the motions.

I actually think "right direction."  I have long felt Jones was making everything worse.  Now it's even more clear we have some pieces for a playoff if not Super Bowl caliber Defense and a true WR1.  I like Tracy a lot and the line has been better.

This team needs a QB.  Remember we beat Philly with Tyrod last year.  Playing Jones will give us a higher draft pick, I just don't know if there's a franchise QB next year.

That was the last game of the year that the Eagles didn't give two frigs about.  Absolutely meaningless.  Otherwise this regime would be 0-11 against the Eagles and Cowboys.

Those all changed head coaches

A legitimate QB can change absolutely everything. We have a young talented aggressive defense already in place. Throw a guy like Cam Ward into this mix and we are right there with our divisional rivals.

8 sacks, no run game and the defense looked awful. Philly had over 250 yards rushing and 28 points against the defense. Can't blame turnovers, refs or too many penalties. The offensive line, Jones, the backs and the run defense were all equally horrible.

I have said it and will say it again.  If their QB was just a bit below average by NFL standards, they would be 5-2.

Being able to threaten vertically changes everything. The tape Jones has put out there makes it so that defenses do not have to account for a deep threat and can condense down towards the line of scrimmage, which hurts both the short pass game and running game. These issues are not isolated. It's not a pure coincidence Tracy's breakout game came when Jones actually connected on some downfield shots. Mix in that Jones is a painfully slow processing quarterback who stares down receivers and has the highest first-read throw rate in the NFL... You're seeing the results. One of the worst offenses we've seen in recent memory, even with a good offensive line (prior to this week) and good receiving options.

At this point, I think we can find "better than Jones" in the draft or free agency and any improvement is better than none.

The problem is we sometimes mistake some good pieces as meaning something.  Sure, the defense has some good pieces but when push comes to shove this is not a good defense.  They bend almost every time and today the defense showed its true colors.

Considering we need a

QB

RB

Tackle

Guards

CB

And a decent back up quarterback



We have a long ways to go.
