Good coach finds ways to win. Daboll is no Mike Tomlinson. Tomlinson was finding ways to win with a crappy QB Fields. There is no game plan and no adjustments. Daboll is a bad coach I can accept that Jones is not the answer but you have to accept that Daboll isn't either. He is suppose to be some sort of QB whisper nope. He is suppose to be an offensive master mind could have fooled me.
Worst coach in the conference, never prepared for games one game he came prepared for was Seattle and he almost blew it because he couldn't handle the success. He pulled the reigns on what should have been a blow out and went conservative. When coach is coaching scared then the entire team will take on the coaches attitude.

Makes sense.

WR dropping passes when the right call is made, doesn't help matters

How can one whisper into the ear of a deaf person?

It doesn't, I agree there, there have been some bad drop also, it goes both ways. There are just so many open guys not even being seen is what bothers me, though the drops do too, few of them were critical.

I also don't like bad passes, but dropped passes are a pet peeve of mine. So much has to go right for the ball to make it into the receiver's hands, and dropping it so close to the finish line kills me.

I feel a lot of drop passes were the result of not leading the receiver and more importantly the arc with which the ball seems to be thrown in a very hard downward motion. I'm no QB coach but jones short passes just seemed harder to catch by the naked eye. I hope I'm explaining what I'm trying to convey correctly

I feel like I get what you are saying and agree.  Some of the drops hit guys in the hands and were good throws.  Some of them are tough catches where the ball is thrown behind the receiver and it makes a simple catch into a tough one.  Most of these should still be caught but they are nor good throws and hurt potential YAC.
I think the 4th down throw to Slayton during th Cincy game was perfect example.  The throw made the DB's job easy because it went to Slayton's hip rather being in front.

I feel like early in his career this was a strength but now it looks like he has lost some placement.

Absolutely.  The difference is that in 2022 those things went right for the Giants and they were 5-1, while they have gone wrong in 2024 and are 2-4 when, with good breaks they got in 2022, they could easily been 4-2.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.
