The Giants are in a 7 way tie for the worst team at 2-7

The Dolphins and Titans miss that list with 2-6 records.

I don't recall a recent NFL season with so many bad teams.  Not good for the Giants in terms of where they will eventually be picking in the draft (not that this upcoming draft looks to be a particularly good one).

Rich,

I saw something last week that said its a record number of teams with 2 wins or less heading into last weeks games.  I think as we always do, we will see some of these teams get their act together and win more than they lose down the stretch.

And as usual, the year they are looking for a QB, there won't be a Superstar type in the draft.

Happened the year they took DJ, too. They wanted Herbert but he went back to school. Probably to avoid playing here.

He actually went back to school to play with his brother for one year, but Herbert was the QB I wanted the Giants to draft but they didn't wait for him.

Of the two win teams, I put a "*" after the ones I see winning more games

Pats*
Jags*
Saints
Panthers
Browns*
Raiders
Giants* (because the just always win to mess up their future)
Dolphins*
Titans * (more of a maybe)

This will sort itself out.  Giants still have to play Carolina and New Orleans.  New England has to play Miami (I know they are 2-6, but might as well put them in this mix).  Cleveland still has to play the Saints and Dolphins.    Saints also play the Raiders.  Raiders also play Miami and Jacksonville.  Jacksonville and Tennessee still play twice.   A few of these teams will have a surprise win like the Giants beating the Packers last year.  Or, a week 18 win because the opponent doesn't play their regulars.  And, a 4-win team may lose out. So, really can't try to ascertain until mid-December, imo.

Outside of the Panthers, which I'd favour the giants 60/40. I'm not sure where else they get another win.

I think at some point, Lock and DeVito need to be evaluated. Knowing this org, most likely the last two games of the season, ala Davis Webb.

If anyone reads this, I'd like to hear which of the 2-7 teams is "best" and which is the "worst."

So far, this is the season of "haves" and the have-nots.

I fear players EARLIER AND EARLIER EACH YEAR give up trying. Most are used to winning a lot in college and react poorly (and with a combination of envy and jealousy) to not being on one of the currently good teams. That attitude IMO doesn't bode well for over-all quality of NFL teams, at least in the near future. As a result, every year they drift nearer to epitomizing the slanderous view some fans have of professional ball players in general (spoiled millionaires).

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

If the Giants were a logical, serious football team, this would happen as soon as the bye. Lock is worse than Jones? Give him 3 games to prove it. Give DeVito some time to see what he can do as the #1 guy as well.

But the Giants run off of emotions and "feel good"s which is why Jones has been given so many chances. Sometimes I wonder if Schoen and Daboll might not actually be engaging in malicious compliance against ownership with Jones right now.
