Quote from: T200 on November 24, 2024, 09:52:53 PMI thought about that earlier. What offensive leader do we have that's going to check him?
Tommy should have a word with him. He's the QB and Dex should be over his shoulder.

Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Quote from: Ed Vette on November 24, 2024, 09:49:22 PMI'm curious to see if the Veterans deal with him. That's an important key here.

Julian Love would have dealt with this crap. His loss was the begging of a bad stretch

Quote from: Doc16LT56 on November 24, 2024, 09:53:16 PMNo he's a kid who wants the ball. He told them before they drafted him this is who he is. They drafted him knowing this is who he is and they considered it a feature, not a bug. He's doing what he told them he would do.

Now that times are tough, the lack of coaching and leadership is becoming more and more apparent. But let's blame the rookie when the dysfunction is pervasive.
You're still not understanding what we're saying.

Quote from: Ed Vette on November 24, 2024, 09:40:27 PMWoody, he can be saved. Otherwise, the next GM will trade him like Gettleman did Odell. He became a cancer and he had to go and from that point on his career took a nosedive.
Gettleman was the cancer.

I understand what you're saying. I also understood what you were saying a few weeks ago when the two of you were pointing the finger at Jordan Raanan.

They don't want to.

Because it's the same back the inept organization nonsense some of have seen since Odell.  Now Nabers is the problem.  Meanwhile the Giants are a 2-8 laughingstock.

You could not have understood if your response was that we're blaming the rookie.

I'll say it again: be mad that you didn't get the ball, be angry at a 6-game losing streak. Throw trash cans in the locker room. Do NOT air dirty laundry in public.

Quote from: T200 on November 24, 2024, 09:52:06 PMReading some of these comments supporting Nabers, it's clear that some of you haven't been part of a high-functioning team, having to put your personal interests aside for the success of the team as a whole.

You don't air dirty laundry in public. That stays in-house. You don't disrespect the boss no matter what you think of him. That's insubordination, and as Ed said, it's cancerous. It upsets the chain of command and puts ownership in a position to pick a side. In this instance, there's an embattled head coach versus a first round draft pick. Who do you think the owner will support? And what will that support do to the rookie's ego?
Sorry but this reads as naive. Not every high functioning team has a military culture. There are high functioning teams in entertainment, finance, government, etc that regularly leverage public criticism to break the inertia and force change. They are absolutely high functioning in their spheres.

OBJ was sacrificed as a "cancer" and things have only gotten worse. It was misdiagnosed then and is predictably being misdiagnosed now. Nabers is not the issue. To say so is an attempt to distract (even if unwittingly) from the issues.

Who said anything about military?

Respect is paramount in any high-functioning organization.

Public criticism from within is the very definition of dysfunction.

If I have a problem with my boss, I'm gonna address it with him, not make a public declaration about it.

Daboll can easily take the low road and bring that same energy as Nabers and talk about his drops. But that's not how to handle those things.

It's all moot anyway. Daboll will likely be gone at the end of the season. Mara can't fire himself even though he should. Fans booed today and left early.

I don't know what world you live in but that's just not how most of the world works in 2024. And if Daboll starts calling out a rookie for drops he will only lose whatever remains of the locker room.

Nabers is paid to make plays. Daboll is paid to lead.

So it's OK for Nabers, a rookie, to call out his QB ("I'm always open), call out his coach ("Ask Dabs") but if the coach calls out his star player then he risks losing the locker room?

The world I'm living in looks like a bunch of entitled youngsters who have a lot of learning to do about how the world should work.
