Big Blue Huddle

I have to say in fifty four years as a die hard fan, this is the first time I have ever rooted for them to lose. Even my wife who shares my frustration turned to me and said that it's weird that I was rooting for the Falcons today.

I'm not sure if it has more to do with each passing year without a contender is making me nervous because of my own mortality or because I can't shake the feeling that Mara may never be able to turn this around without some type of divine intervention.

Nope. You are wrong. That's not the same as tanking. The players don't care where the Giants pick in the draft. Even Daboll is not thinking about that. They all might be out next year. You don't know what will happen this off-season, and neither do most of the players. This is just a bad team.

Obviously they're a bad team. That's not some revelation.

Not trying your hardest in the NFL has the same net result as tanking. I have no interest in getting into a debate about precise semantics with you on Christmas Eve. The team is in disarray and is broken, period. AND they are bad anyway. But there is no way guys have been trying their hardest, particularly since the decision to skip over Lock and go to Devito. That caused a lot of problems and they have been losing by worse margins since then.
