Congratulations to everyone who wanted the Giants to be competitive in a meaningless game.

Quote from: madbadger on December 29, 2024, 03:57:26 PMI'm done with this f-ing team. They get blown out of just about every game but decide to show up and ruin getting the first pick overall by winning a meaningless game. We can't even suck correctly.

Does it matter?  Is there a true #1 this year? Hopefully the Raiders get #1 and take Sanders.  I'd rather have Hunter.

Im so sick of this team... I never root for them to lose, but them losing out is whats best for this team ...but they goi and f*** win... now Eagles will rest everyone...

People who selfishly rooted for this team to win... enjoy another season next year of a bad team.... we are waisting our young players with a bad QB ... so pissed

The third 1st 'since Eli Manning' record set today.

Me too. Sign him to a two year deal. Keep Lock for at least one more year.

Build the damn team

Quote from: kingm56 on December 29, 2024, 03:56:50 PMIt's amazing how good the coach looks when the QB is on.  I'm happy for both Dabs and Lock.
See this is how a meaningless win against an inept defense colors reality. It blurs the big picture. Kudos to Lock, but the win can't hide the head coach's serious inadequacies.

There's no need to criticize anyone who's enjoying the win. It's not like their enjoyment is somehow responsible for the current situation.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

All Im saying is when we end up 6-11 .... another year of wasted rookie contract years and we once again arent high enough to draft Arch or a good QB  and you were hoping for a win you have ZERO right to complain about another crappy season ZERO

killarich

You cant keep "building" the team when you waste rookie contracts and cant resign them when the time comes

This win only extends the never ending circle

Ummmm...I'm literally the only poster who called Dabs 2022 CoY performance a mirage. So, while you have oscillated between him being a good and terrible coach, I have remained consistent. Hes a good coach when paired with a plus QB and well below average when he's not.

You have zero idea what I was hoping for.  All I said was there is no need to jump down people's throats for enjoying a win.  Acting like they are at all any reason for the current situation is you just lashing out because you're mad.

Aside from that I'll complain all I like thank you very much.

Good game. It was nice to see the Giants finally putting up some points. It seems like forever since we scored touchdowns like that.

This is a quarterback driven league and this win could drop as low a 6th and Hunter will be long gone by then. There is no bright side to this bull$hit. Even if we somehow got him who is going to throw to him? We aren't getting a good quarterback without grotesquely overpaying him limiting our ability to improve the team. There's a reason why great teams capitalize on having a great young quarterback on a rookie deal. We're stuck in purgatory and have been since our idiot owners got caught flat footed when not adding a young quarterback until after the wheels fell off Eli.
