Quote from: DaveBrown74 on January 19, 2025, 07:57:18 AMAt least we went on that meaningless three game winning streak in 2023 with DeVito when we were already out of contention. Sure, the playoffs weren't happening that year regardless, and sure, it meant we couldn't have Daniels or Maye, but it helped instill a winning culture here, and that's way more important than the difference between having a Daniels/Maye and not having one.

Washington was a worse team and had a higher probability of drafting a franchise caliber player as a result and as it should been.  Yes, if the Giants tanked on purposed and angled themselves ahead of Washington and drafted Daniels they would be a better team today.  But what about the fans of Washington?  A league where a 1/3 of its teams deliberately try to lose for half or 1/4 of season is a systematic design failure that will get worse the longer the season is extended.  Tank jobs distort playoff positions of franchises that are trying to compete and breaks using the draft as a tool to help rebalance pour team rosters.  The system has to change.  You are correct that the Giants should have been better losers last season to be in a better position to win, which is how the league is set up for today.  I just can't watch a sport where the competition is without integrity.

Instead celebrating Lock, Nabers, Divito's rare recent franchise success stories we're trashing them.  Another sign of a broken system.

Ageism!!!!!      =))

AI is not as easy as you would think.  I liked both pictures and I hoped no one would notice the age difference
SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

It's clear as day to me after listening to Brady himself that all we need is a good QB and we will have the same type success as the Commanders (I'll always refer to them internally with utmost respect and dignity as the Washington Redskins though)...

Our Oline was doing extremely well early in season (top 5-10) I believe??...Daniels showed he is the goods. It's the ONE thing that gives me optimism on Daboll since he called it.

If Daboll is what some here think (coaching wise) then I believe we can be in the NFC Championship in 2 years if we get a good QB

To give you a taste of how tricky this kind of artwork is.  You saw the group of younger people enjoying a discussion of the Giants, well, I added slightly older (and because I liked the diversity in the first picture, I added diverse to the group descriptor).  Here is what I got for slightly older and trying to keep the diversity of picture number one:

SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Now I was determined to see if I could make a better ideal image and I came up with this

SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

Rich,

The pics are great. I was just kidding around (although I would be being less than truthful if I said I didn't notice the age gap between the positive and negative pics).

The Giants had Washington beat if Nabers didn't drop a pass and if they had a kicker.

Washington deserved credit - they rebuilt their OL, drafted very well and signed several key free agents. A supporting cast still matters.

Agreed. I don't think I've ever read a post that indicates otherwise.

From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!
