If that Mock Draft comes about , then with the second pick in the second round I would take one of the QBS still left . Cannot tell you which one but a QB.

And pray that one can win 4 or 5 games to show enough promise to develop otherwise goodbye dynamic duo.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on February 04, 2025, 12:35:50 PMI think you'd have to go Barron or Starks to pair with Nubin and go with Hunter, otherwise you are happy that Conerly fell in your lap and plug him into RT and let Eleumenor play guard.

J; Starks was my first choice but many here think safety is not among our biggest problems.

Others think even Pick 34 is too high for a safety in the modern NFL (to that I say McKinney).

In any event, do you think McCord will still be undrafted by their next 3rd-round) pick? I do.

Bob

If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

Quote from: katkavage on February 04, 2025, 04:39:00 PMThe Giants are taking either Ward or Sanders unless they are blocked from that by Cleveland and Tennessee taking them. Their jobs are on the line.

So you spoke with Daboll and Schoen behind the scenes? No one knows what they are doing, who's available, whos stock will rise, fall etc. someone can have a freak injury or incident before the draft even happens, we don't know what free agents they will acquire, if any trades are made, etc

Talking in absolutes and guarantees just is not accurate

If you say so.

Hearing if Josh Simmons wasn't injured in season he'd likely be in the running for Oline 1.

Also hearing scouts are loving Matthew Golden, don't be surprised if he goes a lot earlier than expected.

Respectfully I don't care if Joe & Brian's jobs are on the line. If they take Sanders or Ward or ANY QB in this draft at #3 they should both be fired that night. It is dereliction of duty to overreach for the most important  position in the game in an effort to save your job.

Isn't that what DG did with Jones?! Who paid for that move? WE ALL DID!

For me it's Hunter at #3 or trade down and get a 2026 #1 as part of the haul for next years' QB class.

BTW nice work Clayton!
From Simms to Eli (with an assist from Hoss) our Super Bowl Quarterbacks. Great defense and clutch QB performances...NY Giants Championship football.

I have an old profile still floating around: andrew_nyg....I am one and the same!

Since we're projecting... what if the new guard comes in and Sanders leads the Giants to the playoffs the next three seasons? Would picking him still be considered and overreach?
 :Giants:  ALL HAIL THE NEW YORK GIANTS!!!  :Giants:

"We're going to build this thing the right way... I'm not going to do a Hail Mary for self preservation. We've got a plan in place and we're going to stick with that"

-Giants GM Joe Schoen on potential roster plans and spending for the 2025 season.

While I have no inclination now, nor have I ever to do likewise Jess, I must say; well-thought and well done. And by the way, I am much further than I have been in the past several pre-draft years from being comfortable in sticking a personal preference wet finger in the air.

I will say, however, that I spend much of my time and attention during what I have often referred to as the Silly Season in trying to make sense of and to learn from the amazingly thorough and comprehensive:]https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/[/url] At the same time, the adjective Silly is no longer in my thoughts.

And also looking back at the earlier Draft years consensuses can be quite enlightening.

Cheers!

Amendment: Silly includes petulant, whiney, and bias blathering.

That's funny. Who will fire them? The man who is demanding they get a QB? If they don't take one the idiot owner will fire them. Either way both are likely gone after next season.

Read any scouting report and the best any of this years' top two QB's rank in last years' draft is the 5th best QB. The one who is the most NFL ready also has the lowest ceiling.

Do you really want to risk being in Daniel Jones Land again for 4 more seasons? Not to mention, who knows how well this kid will take coaching from anyone other than his father...How would THAT CIRCUS go over in this market?! Imagine Daboll throwing a fit after a Sanders pick, who knows how the kid will respond.

Do we really want to risk that when we could use this draft to shore up other important positions on this bereft roster and build toward on a potential franchise QB in '26.

Well then at least they go out with some dignity the second time around after succumbing to his wishes with regard to DJ. I'm sure other, more competent owners will take that into consideration in their next interviews.
