IMHO he is the best short term answer. Rodgers has a different opinion of where he is in his career and likely wouldn't react well to having a first round pick waiting in the wings. Wilson on the other hand started the season on the bench and never complained. He just went about his business and played well when they finally gave him a chance.

2025 is a transition year. They won't win much with or without Wilson. But if they draft a QB with potential (which they should have done a year ago) then there will be hope. The big "if" is the QB they draft, most likely Ward or Sanders, long shot Dart or Milroe. Drafting a QB who can show he might have franchise ability keeps the terrible tandem of Schoen and Daboll around longer. We shall see.

It may be my blind hope .... But last season when the defense was healthy we were in A lot of the games ...... I think our defense is way more well rounded now .... And this is without the draft .... I think if we get another DT next to sexy dexy we may have top 5 defense in the league

Now you get Rodgers ...... maybe even kind of Wilson aka a competent qb ... even post prime we can def win some more games with a more experienced Nabers , Tracy and Theo

Sign Wilson then keep adding talent everywhere we can. Sooner or later we will have enough to win. Draft the best player available at 3 irrespective of position even if that leaves us chasing a QB day 2 or 3. Schoen has shown some patience so far in FA. He needs to do the same in the draft. No hocking the future to reach for a "maybe" QB at 1.

Russell Wilson is known for his strong character, integrity, and leadership, both on and off the field, as evidenced by his Bart Starr Award win and philanthropic efforts through the Why Not You Foundation.

Here's a more detailed look at Russell Wilson's character:

Philanthropic Efforts:
Wilson and his wife, Ciara, established the Why Not You Foundation to fight poverty and empower youth.
They created the Why Not You Academy, a charter high school serving "systematically underserved students".
They have also launched campaigns like "Immuno Heroes" to raise funds for Seattle Children's Therapeutics, an immunotherapy program.
Wilson and Ciara donated 1 million meals to Seattle's foodbank, Food Lifeline, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leadership and Teamwork:
Wilson is known for his positive attitude and unwavering belief in his team, even in challenging situations.
He has been praised for his composure and ability to lead under pressure.

Faith and Values:
Wilson is a devout Christian, and his faith plays a significant role in his life.
He openly shares his faith and uses his platform to promote positive values.

Community Involvement:
Wilson has made serving the Seattle community a priority since being drafted by the Seahawks.
He has made regular visits to patients at Seattle's Children's Hospital.

Recognition:
In 2022, Wilson won the Bart Starr Award for outstanding character, integrity, and leadership.
The award recognizes players who exemplify the highest standards of conduct on and off the field.

Wilson's skills may have declined.  He may be less elusive.  Regardless he still throws accurately downfield.  Sign him, protect him and we will win some games.

Wilson is also a high character guy.  Much better than diva Rodgers.

Is isn't what he used to be, but what he has left, is still much better than what we have had. Throw in his character and such, I am not opposed to him to hold it down for a year or two.

Wilson was 6-1 at one point. Then at the end of the season he faced the Bengals and the Ravens, which he beat earlier in the year, the Eagles, and the Chiefs. Lost those last four games.

I wanted Wilson when he left Seattle. He's what we need in a short-term mentor. If Schoen takes Rodgers over Wilson, I'm out until Joe is.

Hope Giants get this done. He's not great at this point but he'd give competent QB play at the very least which we didn't have last year.

If this is what keeps them from giving up 2 Third round picks to trade up for Ward, then fine.  If this is what keeps them from entertaining Aaron Freaking Rodgers, then fine.  But just do it already.  There is no discernible difference in terms of play on the field between Rodgers and Wilson.  They're both washed up.  But one of them brings with him a truck load of dangerous lunacy and the other one is just Russell Wilson and his harmless nonsense.

They should just start a 1st round rookie but since that idiotic mandate from Mara that they have to win this year or everybody is fired they probably don't think they can risk rookie mistakes right now.  So here we are.

I don't understand the hate for Rodgers so much ? I get it ... he's a Diva and he is pissing me off myself but he's the best out there

I hope it isn't politics because we are all different ..... if the fanbase based everything off of that all Sports would be dead right now financially

I don't like him as a person. It has nothing to do with politics.

From a football perspective, he's fragile and an injury waiting to happen, on the wrong side of 40, got a GM and HC fired (might be a positive for some), and will be a weekly distraction.

For me, the cons outweigh the pros.
