He ran roughly 4.5 his first try (give or take)

His second was 4.45 (give or take)

Good, but not the sort of great times that get teams to forget his throwing issues.

Of course, the school is pushing:

School officials saying 4.37.

4.45x is damn fast for a QB.

He is faster than Lamar Jackson. Not quite as elusive, but faster.

Jackson ran an unofficial 4.34 40-yard dash at the University of Louisville's "Speed Day." He never ran the 40 at the Combine or a pro day. Jackson's time would be the second-best 40-yard dash time of all time for a quarterback, behind only Michael Vick at 4.33 seconds.

I don't know.  Seems fast enough for a QB.

Milroe and in the second (or end of the first) or Dart at the end of the first.

I think Milroe may find a way to be useful to an NFL team, but having watched him play a number of times I just struggle to see him ever being a very good NFL QB. He was pretty brutal last year. I know others have him higher but he's more of a day three guy for me. Just way too much of a project to be burning a 2 or a 3 on him.

The problem is someone is going to waste 5-6 years on him trying to make him a pocket qb when the team drafting him should probably immediately use him as a taysom Hill type. Have him run the ball, flex out as a TE/RB, and use him as a weapon instead of a pocket qb.

That's what I envision him as, but to me that's probably his ceiling or at least the upper end of the range of expectations. I don't think I'd want to use a second or even third round pick on a guy who might be another Taysom Hill type if things work out.

Reports was he was going to be a sub 4.4.   So this is a bit of a disappointment

He plays like he has sub 4.4 speed and in the end how it translates to the field is all that counts.

I don't care if he ran a 4.0.  He's wildly inaccurate and I don't see that changing.  Hard pass.

Everybody is comparing Milroe to Lamar Jackson but I think the better comparison is to Josh Allen when he was at Wyoming.  Both have similar problems in college with putting their feet in the right place to make repeatable throws.  Both relied too much on their elite arms.  Allen is taller but Milroe is more athletic and just as thick.  Milroe has highest ceiling of the 2025 QBs but also the lowest floor.  I am really wondering if Daboll is thinking that he can fix Milroe's feet the way Allen's feet got fixed.  Bills history, Alabama history.  Hmmmm.

I also wonder if fans are truly missing that DeBoer's offense was very different from Sabans which may have set the kid back as well.

Deboer wanted nothing to do with Milroe, but he was forced on him by Alabama.

If they don't go QB at #3 I think Milroe is very much in play. With Winston on board he wouldn't have to start. They can spend a whole year working on his footwork and how to properly read defenses and then put him in next year.

Others have also mentioned it and I tend to agree that Milroe has the highest ceiling of any QB in the draft but also the lowest floor. So if you're taking him it's almost better to not throw him in right away. Unless it's just a few gimmick plays or something.
