SMART, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE

This entire Aaron Rodgers drama comes to mind.  But also that damn Desean Jackson punt return.

Herm Edwards fumble recovery for a touchdown.

That 49ers playoff loss. Up so big and Strahan decides to run his mouth to TO... I hit the Bacardi 101 hard that night.  :smug:

Let me count to three
..ugh...

The refs screwing up the end of the Niner game...dashing off the field. Awful.

The Eagles meltdown and honorable mention the Viking comeback where Calloway just has to recover the onside kick. Pfft.

Unfortunately drafting Daniel Jones 6th overall in the 2019 draft.

Sweetheart of a kid whom I wanted to succeed, not just for being BBWC QB, but because he is such a likable individual. I've never had children, but I'm thinking this is the type of person I would like a daughter to marry.

That being said, drafting him 6th overall and the resulting move of signing him for an obscene amount and not signing Barkley really have put us in a super unenviable position. We can't even get a free agent QB to sniff us because of how bad our team is.

Sorry to all the DJ fans, but signing that cherubic faced assassin has put us in a decade long tailspin moving forward because of management/owner decision to have this guy as the face of the franchise.....oh wait, let's cut him for nothing instead after signing him to an absurd contract.

This is not on DJ, as he was just trying to be the best player he can be for us. This is a direct reflection of our management/ownership.

So if we never drafted DJ at 6, I'm assuming the latter part as a result of drafting him where we did doesn't happen.

We're a bad team with more than a few moments we'd like to forget, but I'm going to go with this moment as the catalyst to becoming the laughingstock of the NFL and the football memory I'd most like to forget.

I agree with this plus ...

1988 49ers at Giants ... Mark Collins getting burned by Jerry Rice for the shocking game winner.

2006 Giants at Titans ... was at this game and am still shaking my head over that fourth quarter collapse.

Who can forget ...

2002 NFC Wild Card Game, Giants at 49ers, say no more.

Peace!

I love this post! But I have to honestly ask, what the heck was he supposed to do, ask for LESS before signing? Lol!

The beatings he took was hazardous duty pay and was well earned, in my opinion.

Giants' management rolled the dice, and came up snake eyes. It happens.

Life goes on, but Danny Dimes is all class and I only want the best for him going forward.

Peace!

Understood & this is not critical of DJ.

It's on management/ownership.....you don't pay new car price on a car that doesn't get you to where you want to go!

The aforementioned for sure, especially that desean Jackson TD that was a gut wrencher. I'll add the opener against the Boys a few years back just because I was going into that season with such hope and in the span of 45 minutes I came to realize we were in for another hugely disappointing season. That was a tough pill to swallow, and to make it worse I was surrounded by drunk cowboys fans. Just awful!!

This is it for me too. The DeSean Jackson punt return game is up there, but nothing tops that playoff loss to the Niners. That was truly the worst of the worst.

The coaching tenure of he who shall be nameless.

I never really found "the fumble" as a worst moment as we were a bad team then also.

What really gets to me are the games we lost when we had a chance to win a championship.

My #1, the Flipper Anderson game where he caught the winning td in overtime. Terrible call on Collins to set that up. I still cringe just thinking about, what if?

The playoff loss to the Niners when we had that huge lead.

The loss to the clueless Dennis Green and his Vikings, again in the playoffs.

Losing SB 35 to the Ravens. They may well have been the better team but Fassell came in and had a horrible game plan. Played scared.

I could go on but that's a start.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.
