If Schoen is serious about winning, he trades Ojulari as soon as KT is healthy

My main point was about Ojulari, but let's see what happens. If the team decides to trade Slayton and Ojulari for 6th and 7th rd picks, well that is up to them, but both players are worth more than that.

Not to the Giants...they're HIGHLY unlikely to be resigned next season, which means any draft capital acquired is a more valuable than keeping them.

Not this year he's not.

Slayton is projected for 938 yards and is only 27.

Cooper is only projected for 647 yards and is 30 big difference.

That is your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions right?

I'm now going to get something to eat, enjoy!

So we should keep them for 8 meaningless games?  Do we need to keep Slayton so you can continue to evaluate DJ?

There's also no need to announce you're leaving the conversation.  It's akin to saying "I'm taking my ball and going home."

If I'm Dexter Lawrence and the team benches Jones and trades Ojulari, I would probably be demanding a trade myself. Quitting doesn't look like it is in his DNA. And if you are going to bench Jones you might as well fire Daboll midseason too, since the writing will be on the wall that over the last two years he can't coach this team to wins, with or without Jones.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant - Robert McCloskey (if he were on this Forum)

I disagree; Dex is a VERY smart man.  I think he'll view such a move as an earnest attempt to get better next season.  There's nothing left to play for this season.

No, you keep him because he's a good player and you continue to add good players to your team.

And I would kindly ask you please do not tell me what I can or cannot say in my posts, as I don't do that to you, so please don't do that to me.

As it comes across as very controlling and self-righteous, thank you.

Trade Jones to Dallas since Dak is hurt. Although it would never happen, that would be something

It is still a rental.  If Schoen could trade Slayton for Cooper straight-up he would do it in a second.  So would every gm in the league except the one who actually has cooper.

I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not next year when they are gone.

I completely disagree and would look at that as a bone headed move.  For Schoen or any other team that is not in contention.  What's the point?  He's 30 years old and is having far and away his worst season.

Cooper Rush is better than Jones at this point.
