See, this is one of my problems with the Jones' detractors for a long time, long before you arrived.  Someone would point out that it is hard to play well when the OL or WR rooms stink and they come back with oh Jones can only succeed if everything is perfect.

Now I'm not not saying you did this but your post is in a similar vein.  I questioned whether it is reasonable to expect a QB "guru" to be able to keep his QB from regressing and you turned it into me somehow asking if a QB guru should be expected to turn a guy into a great QB. There is a world of difference between making a guy a great QB and keeping him from regressing.  That you try to conflate the two is just pure bad faith, because it was not remotely a genuine question.
I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a vindicated pessimist.

Not slowing my roll

Schoen and Daboll don't want Jones. I'm not suggesting that they are setting him up to fail. But they certainly aren't doing absolutely everything they can to keep him from regressing. I do believe that they feel the 2022 season was Jones's ceiling.

It's not in their interest for Jones to win games.

I completely agree with this. And to that extent, I feel a little sorry for Jones.

Mom (Mara) and Dad (Gettleman) got divorced. Step-dad (Schoen) came in and doesn't care for the kid. Bye, kid.   :hit:
