I don't get the Milroe love. He has 15 passing TDs while others have over 30. He has legs. What am I missing here?

Basically just for the upside. He can throw deep and can run. He has 20 rushing TDs this year. He also threw for 23 TDs last year against only 6 interceptions.
Ain't nothing to it but to do it!

He has Lamar Jackson potential but it's only potential. Lamar was a lot more polished coming out of college. I happen to like Milroe a lot but I wouldn't want him thrown into the fire from day 1. He'd do well to sit a year and learn. Thats initially why I didn't want the Giants to take him. Ward or Sanders would start immediately and make the Giants a significantly better team. Now they're gonna suck next year no matter who's the QB so why not take Milroe and let him ride the bench while Lock or some other bum plays out the season?

Milroe has a year of eligibility left. Has he declared for the draft? Sounds like he could use that extra year rather than sit in the NFL.

My best guess is Fields + Dart in this scenario with Lock also kept.

Dropping to 4th is not so terrible, but dropping to 7th or 8th would be . They have to lose to the Eagles and someone named McKee who will be their starting QB.

To save his job, if we fell to 7th or 8th , Schoen would probably trade up to get Ward or Sanbders and give away needed draft picks this year and next year . It would be a disaster.

Just somehow lose to the Eagles

I don't think I've seen him say it officially but most assume he's going to the NFL.  Given there's only 2 QBs in this draft likely to be taken ahead of him it does make some sense to come out now. He'd be a 1st round pick for sure. Next year he could easily slide into the 2nd round or worse if he doesn't show much more in the passing game next year.

On the other hand if he does take a leap in that area with an extra season in college he could be pushing Arch for QB1. He's got that kind of talent in there he just hasn't been able to put it all together consistently.

Now that the Giants are locking themselves into another pathetic season next year anyway I wouldn't mind if they took him. If it works out he'd be a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

Why do you assume that Archie Manning will declare for the dradt next year. He does not need the money and I am sure he will listen to Peyton and Eli as to what to do. My guess is that the will not come out next year.

Something like this sounds like the plan. Day two or day three QB and someone cheap like Fields.

Amazingly we won't even be able to get guys like Will Johnson or Abdul Carter now. No way the Eagles let us lose that game.

DaveBrown74

The odds of Arch coming out in the 2026 draft are well less than 10%. The question is more whether he comes out in the 2027 draft or possibly even waits until 2028. 2026 isn't happening. The family wants him to gain experience in college ball (just one year of starting is not a good formula), and money is the furthest thing from being an issue for this kid.

It's 2027 or 2028. Forget 2026. Not happening.

That wouldn't be the worst plan

TD: If you hadn't said it, I would have. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

It's almost like 15 Passing TDs in a season is not very good

Milroe has an impressive 20 rushing TDs.   35 total TDs aren't that bad.   Consider that Cam Ward (considered a top prospect) has 42 TDs, and that includes 3 from an extra game

That would be fine as long as they draft for the OL or DL in the first rouind . What if Fields becomes the second coming of Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield or even Geno Smith ?
