Thanks for the explanation.

Personally, I wouldn't be reading too much into that. But I understand why people might.

I disagree. He did well with the Giants (at times)...but he couldn't do it in the big spot, couldn't throw TDs, couldn't handle pressure (at all) and he couldn't win. But as a backup he will come into games without any expectations except to run the offense and perhaps make a play here or there. As stated earlier, the guy has talent to be an excellent backup. He will likely thrive in the role and I'll be rooting for him to do well - just not against us.

I think a change of scenery and, ESPECIALLY, good coaching will result in a MUCH better Daniel Jones...

He's been led by...

Pat Shurmur
Joe Judge
And now Brian Daboll...

 :boooo:

I hope he lands in a good spot AND does well.

I said it would be a kick in the pants if DJ does well with the Eagles.  I defined what doing doing well means.   What are you disagreeing with?

I disagree about the part where u said "it will be a kick in the pants"...I actually expect him to do well (at times). Because that's what he was with us

Unfortunately I don't think Jones would've fared much better today

Probably not.   I can't help but wonder if DJ is happy to have gotten away from the dumpster fire that is NYG

DJ was 2-8 before his release. His production was no better than an undrafted 2nd year player starting his 4th game. Today does nothing for his stock.

He contributed to the dumpster fire. Had he played better over the course of 6 years, he'd probably still be here.

No, the eye test suggests that.

It's not the be and end all but I wonder how he looked through the PFF lens.

I am talking about the agent's argument that DJ was knee capped by NYG dysfunction

And I'm talking about DJ's sub-par performances for six years that ended with his release. If he'd played better, the Giants wouldn't be where they are.

Winning cures all. He didn't help win enough.

Tim,

Why did Schoen and Daboll sign DJ to a $40 mil per contract after a sub-par season with them?

Find my posts where I've laid out in detail what I think happened and why.
