I see why I have trench ignored. Just an agitator with no football knowledge. I wish the quote feature didnt exist. Then I wouldn't have to read his posts.

I will be thankful when we can move past the shameful Daniel Jones era. I don't remember ever going through a 6 year stretch of constant rebuilding with the same guy at QB and no real progress is his game.

The bar is incredibly low of we're parading around this game as the told you he was good game. He was better than last week sure but last week was about as poorly as a QB can possibly okay. He was bound to be better than that. When compared to an average NFL QB though these numbers won't cut it.

I like just chuck it up to Nabers every play philosophy as an improvement over last weeks which appeared to be: dont throw to him ever. I do hope there can be a bit of a middle ground going forward though.

Ed Vette

Three QBs threw for over 290 yards today, their teams scored less than 20 points and lost.

I'd Nabors didn't muff that critical pass he would have lead the league in receiving yards.

Nabers is a stud. If DJ wasn't a mess last week he's over 100 yards. And they haven't even been able to utilize him deep because DJ can't complete passes over 20 yards.

VanPelt

DJ is really average, just a functional QB.
We need to draft a QB high next year

Jersey Heel

We all know Danny isn't the future and was terrible last week. However, you can't complain much about him today. His stats aren't gaudy, but we hardly had the ball thanks to the defense. If we have a kicker or don't fumble, he gets us points in the majority of our possessions.

Jones wasn't spectacular and he wasn't horrible. He was a polar bear in the snow at night.

The Daniel Jones bar is him not vomiting all over himself on the field.

I agree that for Jones this was a good game
For most other decent QBs in the league it would be a below average game.
Jones also throws about the worst deep ball I have ever seen
He simply has no 'touch' on his deep throws.
We really need to move on.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Someday we will see the Gmen score 30 points. Maybe, hopefully, just wishing...maybe not.

This was the prototypical 2022 DJ start. And a 2022 game isn't going to cut it in 2024 when Barkley isn't around to carry the team. This type of performance is not enough on a week to week basis (and that's not suggesting he "lost" this game or anything of the sort).

MrGap92

Jones didn't have many f ups today, but still far from a spectacular game by him. Not to mention he overthrew Nabers a few times and was locking onto him hard many plays.

Quote from: sxdxca38 on September 15, 2024, 08:19:34 PMNo, they didn't all win, Trevor Lawrence lost, who makes 55 million a year and more than Jones.

Herbert played against the worst defense in the NFL.

The point of the response was in answering Jclayton's comment that D. Carr makes less than Jones.

Herbert, Lawrence, and Mahomes all make more than Jones.

I consider Herbert and Mahomes to be elite.

Daniel Jones' performance was good enough to win. If Nabers holds onto the ball, Singletary doesn't fumble, and Gano doesn't get injured the Giants win this game.

And if Washington doesn't commit 5 red zone penalties they blow our doors off.
